Subject: Some Messages Not Downloaded
Details:
From time to time, sometimes once or twice a day, a message is not
downloaded; they are on the provider’s web listing. However, they are
downloaded to my Blackberry.
This problem also occurred before migrating from a Powerbook G4 OS 10.5.8 and
before the Blackberry.

System:
Macbook Pro
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
OS: 10.6.3
Version: Entourage 2004 version 11.4.0
Account Type: POP

ScreenShots:
I have screenshots of 'account settings and options', but how to include?
What other screenshots would be helpful?

Thanks,
Robert

I have similar problem. I recognized that problem occur if mail have "+" character in subject. Can you check if there is some similarities on your side? My server is Exchange2007.

Thanks BR,
Re: a '+' in the subject
Nothing like that I can see in this case.
I'm also not using an Exchange.
Thanks, Bedi

Account Type: POP

POP accounts are designed to download then delete from server unless you set
to "leave on server" once a message is downloaded it's not there for
another application/device to download. I suggest you switch to IMAP or make
the correct settings in each application/device.

In Entourage it's in Accounts/Options tab.

Diane,
On this POP account, which is my wife's, the account is set to delete in 5
days, hence the emails that are not downloaded can be seen.
There is still the issue of why some email are not downloaded; and it is not
the source of the email in that, it accepts emails from an email address that
on another occasion is not downloaded.
Thanks,
Robert

You also need to set the Blackberry to not delete.

I still suggest you look at switching to IMAP. This will retain status like
read, replied etc.
