Some minor Entourage issues I need help with...

Hello, need some help with these issues:
1. When I receive new mail and Entourage is open, (but not in the Entourage
window) the logo bounces and has the email icon in the logo. The big E,
bounces non stop until I check the message. Is there a way to have it either
bounce a certain amount of times (preferred) or not bounce at all? I do like
the email icon in the E, but not the bouncing.

2. When I reply to or open a new mail, the new window always opens up at the
top left of the screen. I keep moving it in the center to send an email, and
have tried closing the window in a new position to lock it there, with no
luck. Is there a way to have the new and reply emails open in a certain
spot?

3. Minor issue, but in Outlook 2007, when deleting an email, Outlook would
go DOWN one email. Entourage goes UP to the next email. Is there a way to
change this to Outlook 2007 behavior?

Thank you for your help.

I noticed that too and thought it was the strangest behavior. At first I
thought I was seeing things, and got all disoriented.

Entourage > Preferences > General Preferences > Notification (uncheck
"Animate icon".

Hope that helps.

in the Entourage preferences, under 'notification' there is an option to
'animate icon' - deselect that.

(note that the icon will still bounce for errors, but not for new mail
arriving).

This depends on the way in which you read your mail. It jumps to the
'next mail received', so if you read from oldest to newest, you will get
the 'next' mail. If you read newest to oldest, you get the last one.

No way to change this behaviour at present. If you want to see this
feature, please use the 'Send Feedback' link in the Entourage Help menu.
The more people that request it, the more likely it is that it will be
implemented.

Thank you for your help Barry.

Any idea how I can set the place where I want my windows to open when
creating a new email message or replying to a message? It keeps going to the
top left. Outlook 2007 would stay where I put it last.

If you start a new message window, move it to where you want it to be,
close it (saving as draft, then quit entourage it _should_ force
entourage to remember the window position.

However, this does not work reliably. We have never been able to track
down what prevents entourage from remembering window positions properly
(through several versions!)

Thanks. The New window does open in the middle now. It's just the replies
that do not work. I will be using the feedback feature right now. :)
