some of my messages have red text

when looking at the contents of one of my folders...the text is all red. Not
the actual text in the preview pane, but the text that makes up the Subject,
From, Date, etc. They all seem to come from one particular address (as that
is why they are being filed in this particular folder), but I can't figure
out whey the text in the folder view is in red.

They are categorized, but none of the other messages (in other folders) with
the same category are red. Also, some messages in this particular folder are
not "red", so I don't think it's some kind of rule with this particular
folder.

I hope this explanation is at least halfway decent. This is not a real
problem, it's just annoying as hell because I can't figure out why it's
happening. I've tried messing Categories, Flags, message rules, etc. and
nothing seems to make a difference.

Any ideas???

This means that they are overdue items; they were marked for completion
before a certain date and you have now past that date and haven't marked
them as complete yet.
