Some Self Created Building Blocks Work Until Word is Re Started

I created a Footer and Text box building block in Word 2007 everything works
fine until I close Word and re start it. Then the Text box is blank and the
Footer is all messed up.

Six other building blocks are fine.

More information is needed...

Does the text box appear to be blank (at Insert ribbon | Text Box) or is it
in fact inserted without its contents? Does it make a difference if you
delete and recreate it?

In what way is the footer "all messed up"? If paragraph formatting, such as
tab stops and indentation, is incorrect, did you make sure to select a whole
paragraph when you created the building block?
