Hi--Hope someone can fix this minor annoyance.
When I open an existing doc, the focus is not in the doc,
so I can't begin navigating (or typing) until I mouse
click within the doc to start the blinking cursor. I
tried using ALT and that only activates/de-activates
the "File" menu.
This also creates a real inconvenience when I just need to
read notes (w/o editing). When I try to close the file,
the titlebar begins blinking and won't let me close until
I click on the blinking taskbar icon to minimize Word so I
can respond to the "Do you want to save the changes..."
dialogue box.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that will activate the cursor
in an existing document? Other suggestions? Thanks. Mag
