Some Word attachments show as blank

I am using Entourage 2004 Version 11.4.0. When I receive certain Word docs in Entourage they have a file size listed next to the file name, but when I try to open them all I see is a blank document. I haven't had any problems with any other file types. When I save it to the desktop it shows as 0Kbs. I am able to download and view the attachments from Yahoo mail, but it is annoying to have to log in to Yahoo to view the attachments. Can anyone tell me why I can't download certain Word docs from Entourage?

Go to Tools and Accounts, double click your account, make sure that
partially receive messages is not checked in the options tab, if so, uncheck
it and test it with a new mail, you will have to completely download the
Word attachments from older mail when this was set.

To see if this is Entourage database or identity related give it a try in a
new Entourage identity - go to the word Entourage in the menu and choose
switch identity here. Set your account up in the new identity (make sure you
check leave messages on the server in the account setup) and try to open
Word attachments from there. When it's openening you may want to rebuild
your identity and if that wouldn't help you can move over to the brand new
identity.
