I've noticed a few similar postings regarding the following and I have never
seen a response......

Is there any way to use the rules in Out of Office Assistant to specify who
will or will not receive the AutoReply message. It is my understanding
that if the Out of Office Assistant is on and an Auto Reply message is
created, that the "rules" will be applied after the AutoReply message is
sent, which means that everyone receives the Autoreply......is that correct?

Yes, that's correct. If you don't want that, use normal rules but not Out of
OFfice Assistant.

Yes, and a quick test *would* confirm it

Thanks, Sue, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.....With
the normal rules, is there any way I can do it without leaving Outlook
running?

You can use a "have server reply" rule, as long as you don't use any
conditions that require Outlook to be running.
