Something is lost in FTP

I converted my Microsoft database for Access 2000 to Access 2002 in order to
make an mde file. I spilt the database before making this conversion. The
database has user level security. The database runs fine on the computer
where it is stored--all the reports display correctly.

When I ftp the *.mde file and the *_be.mdb file to the web for download by
my client, however, most of the reports either do not run or display
incomplete data.

Any suggetions on what I did wrong? Should I have converted the database to
Access 2002 before splitting it?
