Sometimes she connects sometimes she doesn't...

Can anyone help out there....?

We have a simple set up for Project Server running on the LAN for 7 users.

In Outlook when editing a task, if click 'Update Project Server', It
sometimes works without any error. Other times it says 'unable to contact
project server'. This would be on the same machine and in the space of 2
minutes.

We have been able to reproduce this on other machines so I am at a
loss. We've checked the IP, DHCP and DNS configuration and confirm that's
fine. The PWA (at the same address) always works witout fail.

Also occationsally we get an error from Outlook. Updates were not accepted
by the server (exception 26005).

I be glad if anyone knew anything about what might be happening.

Thank you,

Richard

Richard,
You will probably get a better response if you post to our sister
newsgroup, microsoft.public.project.server. This newsgroup is dedicated
to the stand alone versions of Project.

Hi John,

I did but no one replied... I find it very hard to get support on this
product.. The knowledge base on MS site doesn't seem to have a lot of the
errors detailed.

And to pay for incident support for lots of quick questions is kind of
expenseive.
