Sort by clicking 'Catagories' tab

You should be able to sort tasks etc. by clicking on the 'Catagories' tab.
Every time I go to do this instinctively that silly message comes up "You
cannot sort by this field". Removing this unneccesary restriction will save a
lot of time. The 'By catagory' view is not sufficient for quick cross sorting.

It's a perfectly sensible restriction. Since Categories is a multi-valued field, sorting would make little or no sense in many situations. Instead, you group on that field, not sort.
