Sort by last name, then first

Even though my contacts are saved by last name, then first
name, when I address an email using the address book they
display first name, then last name. As my global address
lists are displayed by last name first I am used to typing
the first few letters of the last name to find my
recipient, however when I use contacts I have to type
first few letters of first name because of the way the
names are displayed. Can anyone help?

Then it would also depend on your mail support mode:

Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Set sort order

Internet Mail Only:
Tools menu > Address Book > View menu > Sort by

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
