Sort emails by email address instead of name

I would like to sort received emails by the actual email address and not the
display name. For example, I might receive mail from John Smith at
(e-mail address removed), and I have mail from him which sorts under Jo... for John (as
his display name) and also jsm... (as his email address). If the sort were
by email address for the sender this wouldn't happen.
