sort in table

I need to sort 8 columns in assending order.Column 1
sorts O.K.;but when I sort colunn 2 column 1 unsorts.How
can I sort all 8 columns without any column unsorting?

Hi Charles,

It's the definition of tables that they list stuff in rows.
So in a table, you can just sort rows.

If I understand you correctly, you should use "newspaper-style" snaking
columns ("Format > Columns") instead of a table.

To change from one column to 8 columns and back, you'll have to insert
continuous section breaks ("Insert > Break") above and below.

Select only the column to be sorted. From the menu, select Table > Sort.
In the Sort dialog box, click Options. Check the Sort Column Only box, then
click OK and click OK.
Repeat as necessary.
