Sort Merge in Word

Is there a way to sort the merged data in Word after the
merge has already taken place.

Sorry. We are using Word2002 SP3. The data source is an
html file. Fequently there are multiple rows of data in
this file. The order of data in the html file(by
business name) is determined by the program creating it
and not always the order(persons surname) the user needs
to see it displayed in Word. I was hoping that once the
data is merged into Word, we might have the option of
sorting it.

You did not say what type of merge it was. Formletters, Labels, Catalog?
