Sort options for Reports

I am using Access 2000. I want to know how to provide the user a choice to
sort the report by either "Last Name" or "Date".

Some people would like to see the report by client's last name. Other's
would like to see it by most current date. I'd prefer not to create two
separate reports.

I'd like to provide the option of how they'd like the report sorted either
"Last Name" or by "date".

Any advice? I'm fairly new a this.
