Sort sequence

I need to do a sort sequence in a query which is in a specific order (a
custom sort).
It is not in alphabetic order and not in numeric order. What I need to sort
is the data below and the order below:

CM2
CM1
CE2
CE1
CP
GSM

Is there a way in Access where I can give a specific sort sequence ? Can
somebody help me?

Danie,
Put your values in a table with 2 fields.
First field is for your data.
The second field is a numeric field, long integer called SortOrder.
Fill in the numbers in SortOrder starting with 1 for CM2, 2 for CM1 and so
on.
To show the sorted data, use a query with sort ascending on the SortOrder
field.
