Sort won't sort

I keep trying to sort a pretty simple 6 column spreadsheet by a column
(containing the project name). It seems to do it for about 75% but the
bottom 25% remains unsorted. I've tried deleting any empty rows but it
still won't sort the entire table. (OS10.4.9 and Excell 11.3.3) Any
ideas what's going on? Thanks.

Having no empty rows is a step in the right direction, but do you have any
rows "Hidden"? That really shouldn't make any difference under normal
circumstances, but it may help put things right to unhide them if you do.

One thing that could influence the sorting is if the column contains a
mixture of numerical & text entries (i.e., 1000, 1000A).

Also, confirm that the data is in a consecutive series of columns & rows and
that you only have one cell selected in the column if you're using the Sort
buttons on the toolbar. Do you have the same problem if you use Data>Sort?

Can you identify anything that separates the top 75% from the bottom 25% in
any way?

I think I've cured it now and both of the above were to blame I think.
Many thanks for your help.

Glad to hear it, but if you continue to have difficulties don't hesitate to
post back.
