I saw Chris's reply about the View/List. I found it awkward and of little
use going through everything I have loaded.

The sort should be similar to Windows Explorer. Let me sort by Title or
Date, both pages, sections, and folders.

If I'm using this for research, I may be crossing back and forth, the ideal
would be able to set it as my default and change it as needed.

Sort is a popular request and is high on the list of features requested in
the next version. The feature list has not yet been announced (nor even
finalized, I'm sure) for the next version.
