Sorted Records in Report

I created a new Access database by importing data from Excel. Since then I
have added several dozen new records. I created a basic report (everything
defaulted except font and column widths) with all records sorted by a Title
column. In the report all records added since the table was created display
at the top of the report in date added order, then all records imported
originally from Excel display in Title order under the new records. What did
I do, or how do I fix the, the sort order so all records display sorted by
Title?

Don't know why you thought your earlier post was worth rewording 8
minutes later - give us a chance!

Often when you're learning how to use reports it's better to discard a
dodgy one and run the wizard again.

Otherwise, can you create a query in which the records appear in the
order you want/expect? If not, there may be something you haven't
spotted about the data itself.

If you can sort successfully in a query, base a new report on that query
(use the Wizard), and look out for the "Sorting and Grouping" toolbar
button (looks like a Space Invader on its side) in Design View. Fool
around with that! (Read the Help first, but it does make sense eventually).

The sort order of a report is controlled by the Sorting & Grouping dialog in
the report itself.
