Sorting a Distribution List by Last Name

The default setting for sorting names in my distribution
lists in Outlook 2002 is by first name. Does anyone know
how to change it so I can sort by last name? Thanks!

In theory, DL's should abide by the same sort order you set for your Outlook
address book (Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories
or address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >)

They rarely do, however.
