Sorting by LastModified in FileSearch Execute

S

Sandy

When I use the application.filesearch in Module and
include the
..Execute msoSortByLastModified, msoSortOrderDescending,
True

It does not return the files in Descending order of date
modified field. However, if I use the
msoSortOrderFileName instead, it returns the file in the
descending order of file names.

Is there a bug in Access 97 which is doing this? Does
anyone know any solution to this problem?
Help. Thanks

Sandy,
Yes, apparently this was a known issue in Access 97 VBA and it appears it
has been fixed in later versions. According to some of the details I'm
seeing, it apparently works if you sort by a different field first, and then
sort by this constant. It's an unusual bug for sure, but like I said, I
believe it was fixed in 2000 and beyond. Try the sort on a different one,
and then on this one, and see if that isn't a feasible work around for you.
