Sorting days of the week

I'm trying to prepare a report grouped by Area, Profession and Days of the
week, with employees and employee hours for each day of the week. To make the
days appear in order I sorted them by the ID number which worked for the
first set of data but in subsequent sets the days appear in the order of
Friday Monday Thursday Tuesday Wednesday. How can I get them to appear in the
right order?

Instead of sorting by ID try grouping the report by ID. You don't need
to have a header and footer for the group but if you make the group
ascending that should do it.

That second sort order looks alphanumeric. Are you certain you are still
sorting by the day-of-week number?

You're right - I never noticed they were in alphabetic order but oddly in the
first set of data the days were in the correct order.

I did what Howard suggested and grouped the report by ID and that's fixed
the problem.
