I just moved from OE6 to Outlook 2003 (importing OE6 emails).
Learning curve help needed!
I have three different POP3 accounts to receive from. Let's pretend:
"Bob Smith" <[email protected]> from: pop3.aaaaa.com
"Bob Smith" <[email protected]> from: pop3.bbbbb.com
"Bob Smith" <[email protected]> from: pop3.ccccc.com
I wish to have 3 Inbox folders, but this doesn't seem possible, so I
wrote rules thus:
"through the pop3.aaaaa.com account", "move it to the AAAAA folder"
"through the pop3.bbbbb.com account", "move it to the BBBBB folder"
"through the pop3.ccccc.com account", "move it to the CCCCC folder"
==> Is this the right way? A test seems to prove it is.
PROBLEM:
To sort 12000 messages already in my Inbox (from OE6 import), I apply
the AAAAA rule MANUALLY to the Inbox folder, but it copied ALL emails
from Inbox to AAAAA.
COMPLICATION?:
Even though the email addresses are different, Outlook 2003 doesn't
seem to be able to sort emails by email address, but only by the name
"Bob Smith". Is this really true?
==> How can I sort emails within a folder by the true "To:" email
address, not just the Bob Smith name?
==> Should I be writing my rules differently? (esp. for applying
MANUALLY)
help!
