Sorting groups on Entourage

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop For years I've been frustrated by the absurd sorting mechanism which comes into play when trying to sort a group of addresses. Although there are separate fields for first and last names, if one takes a group and presses the sort button, it sorts by first names. not last. Is there a workaround, or am I doing something wrong?
Hopefully.,

Looks like Groups still has the same sort method. In the Address Book you can add the columns First Name and Last Name and do away with the "Name" column under View > Columns.

Adding or deleting items from the the View>columns list works fine for the total address book, but does nothing at all to modify the groups. I still get the sort by first name.

Any other suggestions?

As I said.....groups have the same sort method.
