Sorting InfoPath Fields in SharePoint Document Library.

I have an InfoPath form published to SharePoint 2007. The library
displays several fields from the InfoPath form set up with the
Property Promotion in InfoPath. The columns show up on the list in
black while other columns show up in blue. I can sort on anything
that is blue but I can't sort on anything that is black. I can
define the field to be 1st in list but it doesn't sort that way.
Users will want to sort in different methods so I was going to do
several views that they could choose from. Is there a way to do
this?

Columns with "Multiple Line of Text" can not be sorted, verify if the
columns are of 'Multiple Line of Text'.
