Sorting lock

I have an old file which sorts one sheet always taking in all available
lines, remembers it has a header and overlooks the very first line before
the header as it is a calculator line and I don't want it included. Now I
don't know how I got it to hold this way. I have a new sheet that I want to
do the same with. It never remembers I want to sort with header row, and
will not ignore a line above the header.

Is there some setting I'm missing?

I can choose that but it undoes next time on the other sheet it remains
checked everytime. What's the difference?

Try formatting the cells in the header row differently - XL might pick it up
then.

It was already formatted differently, but I changed it again. Not help. I
made Freeze pane like other sheet, not help.

How does the file get to be shared. Maybe that's it. How can I unshare it.

Tools -- Share Workbook. Tho' from browsing Google, I can't imagine this
will make any difference to picking up the header row.

I didn't see the two as related, but they were. I unshared and now it
remembers my sort criteria!
