Sorting on Surname then First Initials

Hi,

I'm using Word 2002 and I have a list of names which is 45 pages long in a
table and they are listed in the following format:
Adams AJ
Weisler JJ
Cantor RE

When I did a sort, the first 14 pages sorted by Surname, the remaining pages
sorted by First Initial so my list is not in alphabetical order - any
suggestions??

Hi Mandi,

This kind of thing is always a bit difficult to reproduce. I've tried on both
Word 2002 and Word 2003 and I don't see the problem, it sorts for me. OTOH, I
also don't have 14 pages full of different names...

What settings did you use in Table/Sort? And is the name information all in
one (the first) column?
