In Excel 2000 (I can't tell you about other versions coz
im using 2000 at the moment), the data sort box has 2
options at the rear, 'header row' and 'no header row'.
You can toggle between these 2 and see wat happens to your
selected table (this should give you a better
understading). The best thing to do is when selecting your
table area, include your headings and select 'header row',
and this way you can sort your table according to your own
headings rather than column A, B etc...
