Sorting/Record Selection

We work on a bi-monthly (every two weeks) payroll. Each payroll I download an
Excel spreadsheet containing employee payroll information into Access 2003. I
need to know how to take current download, compare it against last payroll
data and determine who is a new employee. In other words, I need to know what
is easiest way to determine who is included in current payroll download that
was not in last payroll list/download.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

Access has a New Object Toolbar button that you can use to start a query
wizard. One of the choice is an "unmatched" query. It sounds to me like
you want to find all the records in one table that are not in another table
.... an "unmatched" query.
