Sorting Resources

I've read several posts about sorting the resource pools (resource
assignment alt-F10) and it appears it works for some but not for all.
Has anyone actually found out why? I can't get it to work on my system
which is MS Project 2003. Althought the resource will sort it doesn't
change the Assign Resource (alt-f10) windows order.

Any one?

This is what you need to do.
Go to Project -> Sort -> Sort By ...

In the dialog box, select by Name
And check the box 'permanently renumber'.

Now your resources are sorted permanently, so also in the Assign
resources window.
