Hello, I was working on a clients machine, for sound
problems. When I checked the volume, it was all the way
down. I turned it up, and it slowley moved back down. It
was like something had seized control over the card. I
removed the drivers, and rebooted to let the plug and
play driver refind itself. The same problem kept
occuring. Does anyone have any thoughts or know what
could be wrong? Thanks!

Reply,

Josh,

I have had this problem before. It is a bugar-bear. You
need to uninstall everything that looks like a sound
driver, then, find the right driver and install it. I
might also suggest installing a cheap $15.00 sound card
with the original drivers. This will sqave you a lot of
time.
