Sound files in Notebook

Where does Office Mac 2004 store the sound files that are recorded within a
Notebook document?

In the document.

There MUST be somewhere on the hard drive where the Notebook document keeps
the sound file used within the document. I would like to save a recorded
file as sound file, or MP3.

Yes, there is somewhere on the hard drive where the sound data is stored
- inside the document file. Why would it be necessary to store it
separately? It certainly could have been, but when I record 50KB of
sound, my file grows by about 50KB. That indicates to me that the sound
data is stored directly in the Word document file.

There isn't: A Word document is a container that has multiple file types
within it. Your audio is in the document; along with your pictures and
various other non-text data types.

Use Tools>Audio Notes>Export... If you want a separate Audio file.

Cheers

The sound file is located within the document. However by going to the menu>
tools>audio notes>export audio, does the trick. Use sound converter to set
the file to any format you like.
