Was wondering if anyone has run into this issue.
Just did an install of Office 2008 and did all the updates to 12.1.2.
I have a 13" Powerbook G4, 1.33 Ghz, 768 MB ram, OS X 10.4.11.
After the install, the sound from all applications is intermittent or
nonexistent - Quicktime, web pages, Audacity, and even the "blurps"
from the volume control.
For example, if I'm playing a MP3 file in Quicktime or iTunes or
playing a video in YouTube, the sound goes in and out for a few
seconds every few seconds. Or, sometimes, I might not hear any sound
at all for ten or fifteen seconds.
I checked the activity monitor and didn't notice anything unusual. Is
Office putting something in startup or the system that's interfering
with some resources?
Any ideas?
I'm annoyed to no end by this.
