Sound problems with Powerpoint

Why I don't get the sound when I receive a PPS file extension I have on the
computer
installed Powerpoint 2003? It happened recently till now it was O.K. Any
other sound files I can hear fine
Audio CDs. When I transfer the PPS files to an other computer there are
O.K. Where should I look for the problem?
