Charlie''s Word VBA questions

I am trying to include a 5 minute music track in a PP show. Previously, this
group noted that it must be a .WAV file to be embedded in the .pps show file.
I want to avoid having to send the music track as a separate file. (I have
the track as both a .wav and .mps file -- 19mb versus 7mb.)

The .wav file is nearly 3 times the size of the .mp3. Thus the final
production is about 20mb.

I have downloaded several PP shows. They are 5 to 8 mb, although I haven't
timed them, and they all have background sound that is embedded since there
is no attached file.

Is there a way around this problem other than to have a 20mb PP show or to
link to an attached .mp3 file? Many thanks for any ideas.

Use CDEX to transform your wave into a RIFF wave (then your wave file will
be 7 Mo (the MP3 weight)

Thank you. But I don't know what CDEX is and I have never heard of a RIFF
wave. Please explain.

Charlie -

Sound files are by default linked unless the sound file is under 100 KB - to
change this: in 2007
To embed the audio file(s) - first go to the "Button" in the upper left - go
to Options - Click Advanced - scroll down - to the Save line - you will see
the line Link sounds with the file size greater than: _____KB-change this
number to a size larger than your largest sound file - click OK - You will
need to reinsert all the audio file(s) then save your PPT. Now
the sound files will be imbedded into your PowerPoint and not linked.
