sound wont play on screen saver...help

i have created a screen saver in power point from pics i recieved in an
email. in power point i have added sound. i saved the file and have applied
it as my screen saver, but the sound only plays in powerpoint...not when the
slide show runs as my screen saver. any help would be great.
