I have sound (mp3) files and ppt files in the same folder. I am tryingto
insert the sound to play though the entire ppt presentation (2003) but I
can't get the sound to play. I have downloaded the file via e-mail , so I'm
thinking there's a "path'problem. I am very new at this, but seem to be
following the steps on MS tutorials. Tips ?
Sound files in wav format larger than 100 KB (i.e. anything but a
short sound effect) and other file formats are linked to PowerPoint
presentation, when you Email the PowerPoint presentation, the linked
music will not be shown.
The differences between embed and link, please view:

Solution:
1. Put the sound files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same
folder.
2. Reinsert the sound file to the PowerPoint presentation.
3. Package the entire folder into one archive file and send it to
others. Do not create self-extracting (SFX) archive since most email
block EXE files by default. WinZip and WinRAR are both recommended to
archive your presentation files for emailing perfectly.
Solotion 2 - embed the music
Convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash use some third party
presentation tools, PPT2Flash
http://snipurl.com/ppt-swf, for
instance. It can help you create Flash-based presentation with all the
original effects retained. Of course, all the sound files will be
embedded in the presentation. You can send the Flash-based
presentation to your friends and different computers.
