Sounds Files acting oddly

Chris Cone

Hello
I am working with PowerPoint 2000. I created a PP
Presentation at home for my High School Class, attached a
song (MP.3) and sent the files (ppt and music) via email
to my school site. Upon arriving the sound file came in,
but not the ppt. So I went home and re-sent the PPT file.
Now both have arrived fine. When I attempted to play the
PP Presentation, the music file would not play. I
discoverd I needed to delete the sound icon and re-attach
the sound file. Now the sound file plays with the
presentation, but... none of the other sounds (appluase
etc) play with the Presentation. Oddly enough when I go to
a Preview status within the Animation display the sounds
play with the groupings just fine. Can anyone tell me what
I have to do to get my file working with both Music
playing and the sounds coming in as various elements are
displayed within this presentation?

Thanks

Playing two sounds at once is dependent upon the capabilities of the sound
card. It's possible that the school computer isn't capable of playing two
sounds at the same time. Based on your thorough description, that would be
my guess.
