source code control project contains more than one database name file

We have 3 developers working on a large database. Every few days one of us
gets the error
'the source code control project contains more than one database name file.
in order to avoid conflicts, you should run sourcesafe and remove the extra
file(s).'
I assume this issue affects the local machine as when it happens the otehr
developers are fine. When it happens the scc folder only contains the one
projectname.acn file so I'm not sure what it's on about. It's usually
accompanied by access losing track of the checkout status of objects.

Regards,
Andrew

by the way, we are using the access 2003 sp2 with scc integration dated 27th
august 2004

The only way we've found to fix this when it happens is to delete the mdb
and scc folders and get the db again from scratch. This takes ages and is a
pain if stuff is checked out!
