I have a MS FrontPage client user who was recently
upgraded from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows XP Professional.
At the same time, we upgraded her MS FrontPage from 2000
to 2002. Since the upgrade, the link to MS Visual
SourceSafe 6.0 for version control is no longer working.
When I look in the Tools/Web Options menu, the "Use
document check-in and check-out" box is checked and greyed
out - I cannot change this setting. I suspect that this
setting is defaulted to use FrontPage's built-in source
control, and it will not allow me to configure for
external source control via SourceSafe. We tried
reinstalling FrontPage and looking for an option regarding
source control, but no luck. We've also reinstalled
SourceSafe and were sure to select the option to allow
sources control with FrontPage.
I've tried searching all of Microsoft's knowledge-base
articles, but can't find this scenario. Any help will be
greatly appreciated.
