SP-3 update ISSUES

I had Office 2000/Professional on my company laptop. I did
not realize it had been upgraded by our IT dept when it
was in for service last week. It now has Office
2000/Premium. I looked for updates from microsoft and
downloaded SP-3... The install asked me for the Premium CD
to find the DATA1.MSI file. Since I don't have the CD
locally...I canceled the install. Now when I try to open
an .xls document...the installer trys to install the SP-3
update. The .xls never opens even when I associate "open
with .xls".... HOW CAN I PURGE THIS DOWNLOAD AND STOP THE
INSTALL!!!!!!!
