The office update SP-3 includes SP-2. Is thisoffice-xp update SP2 the same
SP2 as the windows SP2. the windows SP2 update does not cooperate well with
my laptop. I have heard this same issue from other laptop users. I would
like to update my Office XP, but don't want to have to perform another
factory revcovery to clean up the XP2 mess (again).

I have a second issue: everytime I am online, many websites (including
Microsoft) i keep getting an error message prompting me to De-Bug. If I say
yes, nothing happens, I say no and sometimes the site works and sometimes it
doesn't. WHY

Hi, sjr5150. Office XP SP2 is completely different from Windows XP SP2.
Which Office application are you using to go online with?

MS numbers the Service Packs for each product line
starting with SP1. So while both MS Windows XP
and MS Office XP can each have a Service Pack 2 (SP2)
it is specific to each of those products and they
are not the same.

For the 'why' on your browsing it can come from a
number of reasons including 3rd party add-ins/toolbars/
trackers or a corrupted browser install. You may
want to use Tools=>Internet Options=>Advanced in
Internet Explorer web browser and check the
[x] Disable Script Debugging
box to see if that helps.

THANK YOU... I am using Windows-xp professional. I am using Office-XP. I am
using Internet Explorer that loaded with Office. Does this give you the
information you seek? I get a little confused sometimes as these
teminoligies seem the same and I am not an IT guy. Thanks for the help
