SP install failure

Running XP Pro upgrade over win98SE - Office 2000 Prem.
Edition. I have installed SP 1&2. Recently Word has
crashed several times and after error reporting the
online analysis informes me to install updates - a scan
indicated SP3 need to be installed - Installation
repeatedly fails. I have turned off NAV protection and
shut down Zone Alarm - this still does not permit me to
install the SP3
Any advice or suggestions will be welcomed

Have you tried using an administrative installation to update your Office
2000 installation? This page lists all of them for Office 97-2000:
