SP1 breaks email function

I run Office Pro 2003. I just installed SP1. Now I cannot send an email
from Word (or Excel). I have to save the file, then switch over to Outlook
and create an email with an attachment. System running on XP Pro and
attached to Exchange 2003.

Anyone know about this problem?

Make sure that "Mail as attachment" is still checked on the General tab of
Tools | Options.

I have the same issue. I click SEND and it just sits there. Yes, I do have
"Mail as Attachment" checked in the options.

Don't know what to do. Have to exit the program and go to Outlook to send.

Do you have "Send immediately" selected in Outlook? Is Outlook running at
the time?
