sp1 dowloads but won't install any ideas?

First of all what version of Windows are you running? If you're running
Windows XP do you have any reason not to upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack
2? If not why don't you try that then see if it works.

Sorry Ben I did not make myself clear, I am running widows xp with sp2 and
dowloaded office 2003 sp1 but it would not install

Did you download it manually or through officeupdate.microsoft.com? Try
running Office Update if you haven't already.
