sp1 office update failing to install

I have office pro 2003 installed on the other computer. It is running also
windows xp with xp sp2. I want to install office sp1 updates but it won't.
Ihave downloaded both the kb842253 fullfile enu exe and kb842532 client enu
exe files and tried to use either one to install sp1 update without
success.the update downloaded okay but it keeps getting stuck during the
installation. it keeps saying there is a missing file , sku119.cab which it
cannot find to complete the installation.
I have the product cd and even with this it still can't find the file.
I have used the detect and repair option which downloaded a few cab files
but not the one it keeps asking for.
short of having to delete office 2003 pro and reinstalling is there another
way I can
install the sp1 update? if not what if anything may happen if I don't use
this update?

Hi, ron058,

The SKU119.CAB file is part of the MS Office Publisher 2003 product
CD. Try that CD when prompted.

Dear susan thankyou for your input on where to locate the missing file.
the particular cd I had (unknown to me) had all the office programs on it
except for one. publisher. so I have managed to track down my supplier and
get that cd and now everything is working okay.
