Have an OEM version of the OneNote and trying to install
the SP1

Found this:
"OneNote2003SP1-kb842774-fullfile-enu.exe: Download this
file if you do not have access to your original product
CD-ROM or if you have experienced problems installing the
OneNote2003SP1-kb842774-client-enu.exe file."

However the so called full file also requires CD-ROM to
install!!

Can't you install from the OEM version? Most OEMs offer an "other program"
or add-on install via the CD or DVD. I just did it today when my OneNote
"expired" and all the files remain where they're supposed to in the
structure, so only the actual program files are changed.

I uninstalled the time-limited version, inserted my Toshiba Tablet PC DVD,
selected to reinstall the additional programs and then picked OneNote from
the list. Then I opened OneNote and went to Help/Check for Updates and
downloaded SP1 (selecting to save the file to the hard drive). When it was
complete, I closed OneNote and installed the SP1 update.

You're seeing something I haven't seen, Alex. My Toshiba Recovery and
Applications/Drivers DVD (Protégé M200) offers choices. While you're in
Windows, insert the DVD and you'll see the menu come up. On the first
screen you will see Install type, with choices of Install applications and
drivers or Restore the original default system install. Take the former and
tap the Next button. It opens to a new screen with all the factory
installed programs on the left pane. Highlight Microsoft Office OneNote
2003 11.5510.5606 in the left pane, then select the Install button. That
will give you the original OneNote installed on your system. Make sure you
look up the PID before starting the installation.
