SP2 - RBS - Rearranged?

After opening the enterprise resource pool I am unwilling to change the
RBS field for any users? When I select the pull down the outlines are
not what they should be as orginally inputted into the RBS. I then open
the enterprise global template and select customize fields. On first
try it also is similarly scrambled. I Click on a couple of + and -
signs close it and reopen and now the RBS is as it should be. I try and
go back to the enterprise resource pool and RBS codes are still in the
messed up state.

In PWA resource center the RBS outline code is fine and I can edit a
resource from here into the proper RBS breakdowns.

This all started once I applied the service pack 2.

Did you apply all four parts of SP2?

Project Server
The full kit?
The SQL Update?
The WSS Update

Project Professional?

Bob,

Thanks for responding. I saw were Microsoft posted a question in follow up
but there has been no responce since I replied back.

Most definitatly! and in the proper order. I even tried re-doing the SQl
update to the projectserver database after I noticed the problem and it did
not help.

There is also the issue of non-assigned projects showing up in a avaiabilty
PA view I created. SP2 is not ready for prime time as far as I can tell.

Kevin:

So far, you're the only person who has reported this problem and we have
been unable to replicate it. This leads me to believe that the problem is
related to your setup only, although we can allow some more time for others
to surface with the same problem. Until then, I don't think it's appropriate
to damn the entire SP based on this, so-far-isolated, experience. The case
of View Resource Assignments filter issue, on the other hand, was quickly
duplicated by others. Even this can't be called a bug, as it is the result
of a design change.

Time will tell I am sure. Your friend Dale aggrees that the other problem
(unassigned projects in PA) could very well be SP2 related. So my experiance
thus far has been unpleasent, I would like to also note that at least two of
the big consultant firms have told me they do not recomend applying the
secound service pack.

I'm always skeptical when nameless "big consultant" recommendations are
passed on anonymously through third parties.

I too am having the same issues with my Project Server Deployment. The RBS
Disappears and also having problems with Some Published Projects Reading the
RBS rules and do not show up appropriately.

Yes I'm seeing this too. I only have a small RBS, and I tried clearing
it and retyping it which I also cannot achieve succesfully.

See also the "RBS outline code scrambled and erratic" thread for more
details. Hopefully Microsoft will come up with a fix for us.

I am also noticing that you cannot filter Resources by RBS when Building a
Team. All of the RBS Structure does not come up properly to allow this.
This RBS bug just keeps showing itself up in different functionality which
uses the RBS. It really needs to be addressed right away. We have a rather
large RBS and lots of resources so it really hinders work here.

Gary, Is there any problem reference number we can get from MS Redmond
that will help us track a solution?
