sp3 connection/browser problem

Hi,

I've downloaded sp3 numerous times and each time my browser will not
download my home page or other pages, although it says my internet is
connected. So I have had to resort to system restore each time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you referring to Windows XP SP3?

Maybe it would be worth a try to download
the complete file to a folder on your hard
drive (desktop for example) and install from
there.
