SP3 for Office 2000 installed, but says no

After searching for applicable updates, I am "told" that i must first install
SP3 for Office 2000. I do so and receive a message saying it was
successfully completed. I am then asked to check for further updates (which
I know exist, in the form of desired security updates) - BUT I am "told" I
must first install SP3. I have done this by saying I have disks at hand and
by requesting the long form. I have also gone directly to the download site
and (a) installed directly and (b) copied to my desktop and then trying
install - I am told SP3 is already installed. I have looked at help in
Excel, Publisher and Word and they all say version xxx, SP3. How do I get to
install the desired security updates?
